Easy homemade dressing: I love to make salad dressings in a mason jar! Vinaigrettes are my favorite and we always have a jar ready to go in the fridge. It's easy to see the proportions of vinegar to olive oil as you add it to the jar, so no need to dirty a measuring cup. Once you have all of the ingredients in the jar, simply screw on the top and shake to emulsify!

For perfectly roasted veggies and potatoes: One of my absolute favorite tips that people often don't think about is while they are preheating their oven to roast veggies or potatoes, to place their baking sheet in the oven while it warms up. This way, you're creating a hot surface for an initial sear with browning on the bottom side.
